Executive Physical Cost: Market Quotes vs Renew Membership Pricing
Andrew founded Renew Health to change how cardiovascular disease is detected and treated.
Direct answer: Executive physical cost is usually a custom quote for a one-day or short itinerary. There isn't one national cash sticker. Cleveland Clinic says cost depends on tests and program choice and tells you to contact the program. Mayo Clinic lists cost as an FAQ and, in its FAQ flyer, says price varies by age, sex, campus, added tests, optional services, and insurance. One published cash-pay assessment day is Human Longevity's Executive Health Assessment at $8,000. That is their product, not Mayo or Cleveland, and not Renew. Don't mix a one-day quote with membership dues. Renew's live prices are Performance $999/mo and Executive $5,000/mo ($11,988/yr and $60,000/yr on Pricing). This page does not invent hospital stickers or insurance guarantees.
Two prices people mix up
Keep these on separate lines. A one-day executive physical and a year-round membership are different purchases.
| Price object | What you are buying | How the number is published |
|---|---|---|
| Exam-day / short-itinerary executive physical | Coordinated tests in about 6 to 8 hours or 1 to 3 days | Mayo and Cleveland: contact for a quote. No official cash sticker on the pages cited here |
| Published cash-pay assessment day (example) | Human Longevity's one-day Executive Health Assessment | $8,000 on Human Longevity's own site |
| Renew membership | Year-round arterial work, visits, and follow-through | Performance $999/mo. Executive $5,000/mo |
If a directory or comparison blog lists Mayo or Cleveland at a range such as several thousand dollars, treat that as unofficial unless the hospital publishes it. This page does not repeat those third-party hospital guesses as facts.
An older Wall Street Journal feature (Princeton Longevity reprint, uploaded 2017) described intensive "superphysicals" as generally $2,000 to $3,000, and said they can run $7,000 or more, with insurers covering only a percentage. That is dated journalism. Use it as historical color. Get a current written quote.
Why hospital executive physicals rarely show one cash number
Mayo's FAQ flyer says appointment cost varies with gender, age, visit, campus, physician-ordered extras, optional services, and insurance. Cleveland Clinic's exam page says costs depend on which screening tests are needed and which program you choose, with corporate discounts based on headcount.
Skip the hunt for one national executive physical cost. Ask these instead:
- What is in the base itinerary?
- Which items are elective?
- What is patient-billed if insurance pays nothing?
- Does the fee include a results visit and a written plan?
- What happens after you leave: local referral, or ongoing treatment?
Ask for that list in writing. Compare deliverables, not a single internet number.
For what the visit is, see what is an executive physical. For how Renew packages the same intent, see executive physical.
A grounded published cash example (labeled, not a market average)
Human Longevity publishes $8,000 for its Executive Health Assessment. The same company's programs page lists that figure as an annual full diagnostic program. Their FAQ says most advanced diagnostics in the program are not covered by standard insurance, and that some clients use HSA or FSA funds. That is Human Longevity's billing claim. Confirm with your administrator. This page does not guarantee HSA or FSA eligibility.
Cite $8,000 only as one official cash-pay example of a comprehensive assessment day. Don't treat it as Mayo's price, Cleveland's price, or a U.S. average. Human Longevity also publishes a different, more continuous 100+ Care product at $12,000 per year on the same programs page. That is still not Renew.
Renew does not sell Human Longevity's MRI-and-genome day. Renew sells membership built around CIMT and driver treatment. See executive health.
Renew membership prices (live figures only)
These numbers match live Pricing and the executive health program page.
| Renew path | Live price | Live annual figure on Pricing | Role on these pages |
|---|---|---|---|
| Performance | $999/mo | $11,988/yr | Primary CTA |
| Executive | $5,000/mo | $60,000/yr | Secondary CTA |
| Essentials / Reversal | $399/mo and $599/mo | Listed on Pricing | Lighter start. Not primary CTAs here |
What you are paying for at Renew is year-round measured arterial reversal. It is not a single exam-day ticket:
- CIMT as the imaging proof modality
- A 33-driver workup
- Ongoing visits, labs, and coaching on the membership cadence
- Repeat imaging to check whether the wall is changing
Performance adds body composition, brain health, and metabolic optimization. Executive adds weekly coaching, meal delivery, shipped supplements, custom compounding, and unlimited physician access.
Don't divide $11,988 by one hospital day and call it "cheaper than Mayo." The products are different time units. A fair comparison is one quoted itinerary versus twelve months of protocol, imaging, and follow-through.
Standalone CIMT at Renew is $389 with clinician review when sold as a scan visit. That is imaging, not an executive-physical membership. Details: CIMT test cost.
Insurance, employers, HSA/FSA (no guarantees)
What the cited pages actually say:
- Cleveland Clinic: many carriers cover only a very small portion. Some services are billed to the patient. Employer programs may cover an agreed physical while extra diagnostics stay patient-pay.
- Mayo Clinic billing materials: employer and/or insurance may not cover all services. A cancellation fee can apply to late changes (Mayo Rochester form language).
- Human Longevity: most advanced diagnostics described as not covered by standard insurance. HSA/FSA mentioned as a possible path on their FAQ.
- Renew Pricing: the practice operates outside insurance so the physician can spend real time. Medicare-adjusted pricing is offered on Essentials and Reversal where available.
What this page will not promise: that your plan will pay, that an HSA will reimburse, or that an employer will cover Renew or a hospital day. Confirm with the payer and the clinic.
How to compare a quote with Renew without mixing units
Use this checklist:
- Write down the hospital or clinic quote as a one-time (or annual-return) itinerary.
- Write down Renew Performance $999/mo or Executive $5,000/mo as membership.
- List what continues after week one: referrals home, versus a dedicated physician and repeat CIMT.
- Ignore unofficial Mayo/Cleveland dollar ranges on aggregator blogs.
- Open Pricing for the full matrix if you want Essentials or Reversal.
Mayo and Cleveland remain exam-day format references on these pages. We do not claim better outcomes than those programs.
Frequently asked questions
How much does an executive physical cost?
Hospital programs that publish FAQs usually require a custom quote. Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic do that. One official cash-pay example elsewhere is Human Longevity at $8,000 for its assessment. Renew's live membership prices are $999/mo for Performance and $5,000/mo for Executive.
How much does a Mayo Clinic or Cleveland Clinic executive physical cost?
Those organizations do not publish a single cash sticker on the pages cited here. Contact the program. Don't use third-party ranges as official prices.
Why are executive physicals expensive?
The fee is paying for coordinated campus time, a compressed itinerary, and (in many programs) amenities plus optional extras. Mayo's flyer separates clinical services from an executive services fee for lounge, scheduling, and hospitality. More tests and consults raise the quote.
Does insurance cover executive physical cost?
Often only a small portion. Cleveland Clinic says many carriers cover very little. Plan as if the cash quote is the real number unless you have written approval.
Is Renew cheaper than an executive physical?
Different product. A one-day quote and a $999/mo or $5,000/mo membership are not the same unit. Compare follow-through and imaging cadence, then look at Pricing.
What does Renew charge for the executive-physical intent?
Primary: Performance $999/mo ($11,988/yr). Secondary: Executive $5,000/mo ($60,000/yr). Start on executive health.
